How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use this procedure to troubleshoot the seat belt warning system.
- The hand-held tester should be used in steps 3 and 5.
- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
- CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK AND SYMPTOM CHECK (See CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK )
- INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)
- Use the hand-held tester to check for normal function of the multiplex communication system.
- (ECU not connected, communication line malfunctioning) Without code outputs, proceed to A.
- (ECU not connected, communication line malfunctioning) With code outputs, proceed to B.
B: Go to MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM )
A:Go to next step
- Use the hand-held tester to check for normal function of the multiplex communication system.
- PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- If the fault is not listed on the problem symptoms table, proceed to A.
- If the fault is listed on the problem symptoms table, proceed to B.
