Pattern Select Switch 2nd Start Mode Circuit: Wiring Diagram

HINT:

*: Pattern select switch (2nd start switch) When the 2nd start switch is pushed, the switch contact is made and the 2nd mode is selected. To cancel the 2nd start, push the 2nd start switch once again.

1. INSPECT PATTERN SELECT SWITCH (2nd start mode) 
   1. Disconnect the E5 pattern select switch connector.
   2. Measure the resistance of the switch.

   Resistance

   TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART
   
   

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   2 - 3	Press continuously 2nd switch	Below 1 Ω
   2 - 3	Release 2nd switch	10 kΩ or higher

   NG : REPLACE PATTERN SELECT SWITCH 

   OK : Go To Next Step 

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH - BODY GROUND) 
   1. Disconnect the E5 pattern select switch connector.
   2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

   Resistance

   TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   E9-27 (SNWI) - Body ground	Below 1 Ω

   NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

   OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOM TABLE
