Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

ECM:

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2
3. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

4. REMOVE ECM




a. Remove the 2 wire harness clamps.
b. Disconnect the 5 ECM connectors.
c. Remove the 2 nuts, and then remove the ECM.




d. Remove the 2 screws, and then remove the wire harness clamp bracket.

5. REMOVE ECM BRACKET




a. Remove the 2 screws, and then remove the ECM bracket.

6. REMOVE ECM BRACKET NO.2




a. Remove the 2 screws, and then remove the ECM bracket.


INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ECM BRACKET NO.2
2. INSTALL ECM BRACKET
3. INSTALL ECM

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)

4. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
