Brake Pedal Stroke Sensor: Inspection

  1. INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly. If any of the following occurs, replace with a new brake pedal stroke sensor assembly:
      • The surface of the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly is cracked, dented, or chipped off.
      • The connector is scratched, cracked, or damaged.
      • The brake pedal stroke sensor assembly has been dropped.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      1 (BSR) - 2 (BCSS) 21.45 to 23.15 Ω
