Inspection Procedure
- CHECK OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY FUNCTION (POWER MIRROR CONTROL FUNCTION)
- Check that the outer rear view mirror LH and RH position can be moved using the outer mirror switch.
OK: Outer rear view mirror LH and RH can be moved using outer mirror switch.
- NG: Go to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- OK: Go to next step.
- Check that the outer rear view mirror LH and RH position can be moved using the outer mirror switch.
- CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (MIRROR MEMORY FUNCTION)
- Check that the outer rear view mirror LH and RH position can be memorized using the seat memory switch.
OK: Outer rear view mirror LH and RH position can be memorized using seat memory switch.
- NG: Go to FLOW CHART
- OK: Go to next step.
- Check that the outer rear view mirror LH and RH position can be memorized using the seat memory switch.
- CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (SEAT MEMORY FUNCTION)
- Check that the driver side seat can be moved using the seat memory switch.
OK: Driver side seat can be moved using seat memory switch.
- NG: Go to FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- OK: Go to next step.
- Check that the driver side seat can be moved using the seat memory switch.
- READ DATA LIST (MIRROR POSITION SENSOR)
- Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the mirror position sensor.
Multiplex network door ECU front LH, RH (driver, passenger door ECU):

- Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the mirror position sensor.
- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH OR RH (MIRROR POSITION SENSOR)
- Disconnect the R14 or R15 mirror connector.
- Apply battery and dry cell battery voltage to the terminals shown in OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH OR RH (MIRROR POSITION SENSOR) .
- Measure the voltage while the mirror moves between the fully downward and fully upward.
