Outer Rear View Mirror ASSY: Replacement

HINT:

• The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
• Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
• The procedure listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSY LH (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
   1. Remove the power window regulator master switch.
   2. Remove the door inside handle bezel No. 2 LH.
   3. Remove the front door window upper bracket garnish LH.
   4. Remove the front door trim board sub-assy LH.
2. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH 
   1. Disconnect the connector and remove the clamp.
   2. Remove the 3 bolts and outer rear view mirror.

3. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSY LH 
   1. Insert the cloth between the mirror and mirror body. Wrap the mirror in the cloth.
   2. Pull up the lower side of the cloth and disconnect the mirror joint.

   3. Pull up the mirror and remove it.

   4. Using a small screwdriver, disconnect the 2 connectors.

4. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER LH 
   1. Remove the 4 screws.

   2. Detach the claw and remove the visor rim.

   3. Remove the protect cover LH.

   4. Detach the 3 clamps and remove the outer mirror cover.

5. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR COVER LH 
   1. Install the mirror cover as shown in Fig 9.

   2. Install the protect cover LH.

   3. Install the visor rim and attach the claw.

   4. Install the 4 screws.
   5. After installing the outer mirror cover, check that there is no gap between the cover and mirror visor rim.

      HINT:

      If there is a gap between the cover and visor rim, noises may occur during driving.

6. INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSY LH 
   1. Connect the black connector to the terminal with the "B" engraving next to it.
   2. Connect the white connector to the terminal with the "W" engraving next to it.

   3. Install the mirror as shown in Fig 14.

7. INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH 
   1. Install the mirror with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf) 

   2. Install the clamp.
   3. Connect the connector.
