Quarter Window ASSY: Adjustment

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
The procedures listed below are for the RH side.

INSPECT QUARTER WINDOW ASSY RH

Check that the clearance is within the standard value.

a	8.5 mm (0.335 in.)
b	19.2 +/- 3.0 mm (0.756 +/- 0.118 in.)
c	13.5 +/- 3.0 mm (0.531 in.)
d	7.5 mm (0.295 in.)
e	20.5 +/- 3.0 mm (0.807 +/- 0.118 in.)
f	13.7 +/- 3.0 mm (0.539 +/- 0.118 in.)
g	8.0 +/- 2.0 mm (0.315 +/- 0.079 in.)

ADJUST QUARTER WINDOW ASSY RH
1. Adjust the lower part of the quarter window inward/outward.
  1. Loosen the 2 bolts on the quarter window.
  2. Insert the shim to adjust the glass position (inside/outside).
    HINT:
    
    The shim should be inserted between the power window regulator and vehicle body.
  3. Tighten the 2 bolts after the adjustment.
    Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)

2. Adjust the upper part of the quarter window inward/outward.
  1. Remove the lock nut for the adjusting bolt.
  2. Using a hexagon wrench, turn the bolt and adjust it.
  3. Tighten the nut.
    Torque: 13 N.m (133 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)

3. Adjust the quarter window vertically and forward/rearward.
  1. Loosen the 3 nuts on the quarter window for adjustment.
  2. Adjust the vertical and forward/rearward positions of the quarter window.
    - Vertical position: +/- 3 mm (+/- 0.12 in.)
    - Horizontal position: +/- 5 mm (+/- 0.20 in.)
  3. Tighten the 3 nuts.
    Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)

4. Install the 2 quarter window stops.
  1. After the adjustment (steps a to c), install the 2 quarter window stops.
  2. Tighten the 2 bolts.
    Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)
    
    HINT:
    
    When the window is fully closed, adjust the position so that the window touches the 2 quarter window stops at the same time.
