How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

• Use these procedures to troubleshoot the combination meter.
• The hand-held tester should be used in steps  4 and  6.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
   1. Go to next step. 
2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK AND SYMPTOM CHECK (See  CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK   ) 
   1. Go to next step. 
3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

   Standard: 11 to 14 V 

   If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

   1. Go to next step. 
4. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
   1. Use the hand-held tester to check if the Multiplex Communication system (MPX) is functioning.
