How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use this procedure to troubleshoot the progressive power steering system.
- The hand-held tester should be used in steps 3, 4 and 7.

- INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard: 11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge battery before proceeding.

- INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)
- Use the hand-held tester to check if the Multiplex Communication System (MPX) is functioning normally.
Result:
