Floor Shift ASSY: Adjustment

1. When shifting from P to R with the ignition switch ON and the brake pedal depressed, make sure that the shifting lever moves smoothly and correctly into position.
2. Start the engine and make sure that the vehicle moves forward after shifting from N to D, and moves rearward after shifting to R.

If the results are not as specified, inspect the park/neutral position switch and check the shift lever.

1. Loosen the nut.
2. Push the control shaft fully rearward.
3. Return the control shaft lever 2 notches to N.
4. While holding the shift lever lightly toward R, tighten the nut.

   Torque: 13 kgf.cm (130 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)
