How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use the following procedures to troubleshoot the engine immobilizer system.
- The techstream should be used in steps 3 and 5.
- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
- CRANK ENGINE FOR MORE THAN 10 SECONDS
- CHECK FOR DTCS
- Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Delete the DTCs.
- Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output above, try to duplicate the SFI system DTC or engine immobilizer system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.
