Steering Angle Sensor: Removal

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- REMOVE PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD NOTE: When reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal after installing the steering sensor, check that the front tires and steering wheel are kept aligned straight ahead before and after connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER NO.2 LOWER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER NO.3 LOWER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER
for 2GR-FSE (See REMOVAL )

- REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH STEERING SENSOR (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE STEERING SENSOR
- Disengage the claws and remove the steering sensor from the spiral cable sub-assembly with steering sensor.
