Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Install a new gasket to the sensor.
    2. Install the sensor.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the sensor connector.
  2. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK  (See INSTALLATION )

  4. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY  (See INSTALLATION  )
  5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE  (See INSTALLATION  )
  6. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE  (See INSTALLATION  )
  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  8. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
  9. INSPECT FUNCTION OF THROTTLE BODY  (See REMOVAL  )
  10. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  (See REPLACEMENT )
  11. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
  12. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  13. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  14. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  15. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  16. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  17. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  18. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  19. INSTALL V-BANK COVER  (See INSTALLATION )

  22. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See INSTALLATION )
  23. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
