How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

Use these procedures to troubleshoot the active stabilizer suspension system.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT 

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

    NEXT 

  3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN) 
    1. Use Techstream to check if the multiplex communication system (MPX) is functioning normally.

      Result 

      DTC RESULT REFERENCE

      Result Proceed to
      MPX DTC is not output A
      MPX DTC is output B

    B :  Go to MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    A : Go to Next Step 

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Use Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Result 

      DTC RESULT REFERENCE

      Result Proceed to
      CAN DTC is not output A
      CAN DTC is output B

    B :  Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    A : Go to Next Step 

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).
    2. Delete the DTC.
    3. Recheck the DTC.

      Result 

      DTC RESULT REFERENCE

      Result Proceed to
      DTC does not reoccur A
      DTC reoccurs B

    B : Go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 

    A : Go to Next Step 

  6. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    Result 

    DTC RESULT REFERENCE

    Result Proceed to
    Fault is not listed in problem symptoms table A
    Fault is listed in problem symptoms table B

    B :  Go to step  8

    A : Go to Next Step 

  7. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING 
    1. Terminals of ECU (see TERMINALS OF ECU  ).
    2. DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST (see DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST  ).
