System Outline
- Fuel Injection Control (Independent Injection Type)
The engine ECU outputs injection signals to the injectors after the basic injection time has been calculated, based on the engine condition, and has been corrected according to the engine coolant temperature sensor (Water temp. sensor) signal.
- Ignition Control
The engine ECU outputs ignition signals to the igniters after the basic ignition time has been calculated, based on the engine condition, and has been corrected according to the engine coolant temperature sensor (Water temp. sensor) signal.
- Engine Speed Control
An electronic throttle control system has been adopted, which performs first idle speed control according to the engine coolant temperature and idle speed control after the engine has warmed-up.
- Diagnosis Control
Sensor and actuator malfunctions are diagnosed, and the fail-safe function may be activated, based on the input and output signals of the ECU.
