Data List / Active Test

  1. READ DATA LIST 

    HINT:

    Using the Techstream's Data List allows switch, sensor, actuator and other item values to be read without removing any parts. Reading the Data List early in troubleshooting is one way to save time.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
      1. Select the following menu items: Body / Master Switch / Data List.
      2. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

        Master Switch:

        Window Lock Switch Status Window lock switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Window lock switch LOCK position
        OFF: Window lock switch UNLOCK position

      3. Select the following menu items: Body / D-Door Motor / Data List.
      4. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

        D-Door Motor:

        CAUTION: May be displayed even when no resistance is applied in each position. In this case, there is a foreign object stuck in that position.

        Glass Position (1/4 - 2/4) Jam protection operation within range of 1/4 to 1/2 open window glass position / OK or CAUTION OK: Margin is sufficient during manual UP operation
        CAUTION: May be displayed even when no resistance is applied in each position. In this case, there is a foreign object stuck in that position.

        Glass Position (2/4 - 3/4) Jam protection operation within range of 1/2 to 3/4 open window glass position / OK or CAUTION OK: Margin is sufficient during manual UP operation

      5. Select the following menu items: Body / P-Door Motor / Data List.
      6. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

        P-Door Motor:

      8. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      9. Select the following menu items: Body / RR-Door Motor / Data List.
      10. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      11. Select the following menu items: Body / Main Body / Data List.
      12. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

  2. ACTIVE TEST 

    HINT:

    Using the Techstream to perform Active Tests allows relays, VSVs, actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
      1. Select the following menu items: Body / D-Door Motor / Active Test.
      2. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

        D-Door Motor:

      3. Select the following menu items: Body / P-Door Motor / Active Test.
      4. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      5. Select the following menu items: Body / RL-Door Motor / Active Test.
