Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Result 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      B2311 is output B
      B2312 is output C
      B2313 is output D

    B:  GO TO DTC B2311 

    C:  GO TO DTC B2312 

    D:  GO TO DTC B2313 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.
    3. Select the following menu items: Body / RL-Door Motor / Data List.
    4. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      RL-Door Motor 

      DATA LIST

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      RL Door P/W Auto SW Rear LH power window auto switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Rear LH power window auto switch is operated
      OFF: Rear LH power window auto up / down switch is not operated
      -

      OK: 

      ON (switch operates) appears on screen. 

    NG: Go to step 3 

    OK: REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW SWITCH (REAR LH SIDE) - MOTOR (REAR LH SIDE)) 
    1. Disconnect the S5 power window switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the O12 motor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S5-4 (A) - O12-4 (AUTO) Always Below 1 Ω
      SS-4 (A) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Rear LH Side) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4 (A) - 5 (E) AUTO UP / DOWN operation Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW SWITCH (for Rear LH Side)  (See REMOVAL )

    OK: REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
