Brake Actuator: Installation

  1. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH ACTUATOR BRACKET 
    1. Install the actuator with bracket to the body with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque: 19 N*m (195 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE: Do not damage the brake tubes.
    2. Connect the actuator connector.
      NOTE: Make sure that the connector is locked securely.

    3. Using SST, connect the No. 1 and No. 2 brake tubes.

      SST 09023-00101 

      Torque: 15 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf) without 

      SST 

      14 N*m (144 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf) with SST 

      HINT:

      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 in.).
      • This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to a torque wrench.
      NOTE: Do not damage the No. 1 and No. 2 brake tubes.

    4. Using SST, connect each brake tube to the correct positions of the actuator with bracket as shown in the illustration.

      SST 09023-00101 

      Torque: 15 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf) without 

      SST 

      14 N*m (144 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf) with SST 

      HINT:

    5. Connect the No. 1 reservoir tube with the clip.

  2. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU  (See REMOVAL  )
  3. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM NO. 3 RELAY BLOCK 
  4. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  6. DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL  (See BLEEDING )
  7. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID  (See BLEEDING )
  8. BLEED AIR FROM NO. 1 RESERVOIR TUBE  (See BLEEDING )
  9. INSTALL ABS MOTOR RELAY 
    1. Install the 2 ABS motor relays to the engine room No. 3 relay block.

  10. BLEED AIR FROM BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER  (See BLEEDING )
  11. BLEED AIR FROM FRONT BRAKE SYSTEM  (See BLEEDING )
  12. BLEED AIR FROM REAR BRAKE SYSTEM  (See BLEEDING )
  13. PERFORM ACCUMULATOR ZERO DOWN  (See BLEEDING )
  14. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR  (See BRAKE FLUID )
  15. CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE 
  16. PREFORM LINEAR VALVE OFFSET LEARNING 
    1. Perform the linear valve offset learning (see INITIALIZATION  ).
  17. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).
  18. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST 
    1. Perform the Active Test (see DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST  ).
  19. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  20. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  21. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  22. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  23. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  24. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR TO FRONT SIDE SEAL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  25. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR TO FRONT SIDE SEAL SUB-ASSEMBLY RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  26. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  27. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
