- SET BRAKE CONTROL OFF NOTE:
- Prohibit the brake control certainly before air bleeding.
- Be sure to remove the 2 ABS motor relays first, then the brake actuator.
- With the power switch OFF to prohibit brake control, remove the 2 ABS motor relays.NOTE: If the pump motor operates with air remaining inside the brake actuator hose, the air will enter the actuator and cause resulting in difficulty in air bleeding.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTE: If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, wash or remove it completely.
- REMOVE SKID CONTROL ECU (See REMOVAL )
