System Outline

* To reduce the steering force required from the driver, an appropriate amount of assist current is calculated from the torque sensor and vehicle speed signals and this current is then to the motor.

* If an abnormality is found in the system, the power relay and motor relay (Built in the ECU) will be shut off to stop the assistance and the warning lamp (P/S) in the meter will be illuminated.
