Ignition Coil: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  7. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps and disconnect the noise filter connector.

    2. Disconnect the 6 ignition coil connectors.
    3. Remove the 6 bolts and the 6 ignition coils.
