On-Vehicle Inspection

1. Check the throttle control motor operating sounds.
   1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
   2. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
   3. Push the Techstream main switch ON.
   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the ETCS Open Slow Speed or Control the ETCS Close Slow Speed or Control the ETCS Open Fast Speed or Control the ETCS Close Fast Speed.
   5. Check the operating sound of the running motor. Make sure that no friction noises emit from the motor.

   If friction noise exists, replace the throttle body.

2. Check the throttle position sensor.
   1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
   2. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
   3. Push the Techstream main switch ON.
   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Control the ETCS Open Slow Speed or Control the ETCS Close Slow Speed or Control the ETCS Open Fast Speed or Control the ETCS Close Fast Speed.

Specified Condition 

If the result is not as specified, replace the throttle body.
