Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the skid control ECU, perform zero point calibration and store system information (See CALIBRATION
).
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR
).
Result

B : INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
A : Go to next step
- Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR
).
- INSPECT DLC3
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TC of DLC3 - ECM)
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
STANDARD RESISTANCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition K16-13 (TC) - A7-3 (TC) Always Below 1 Ω K16-13 (TC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

OK : Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CG of DLC3 - BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
STANDARD RESISTANCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition K16-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

OK : Go to next step
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK ECM (TC of DLC3 INPUT)
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Reconnect the ECM connector.
- Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
SST 09843-18040
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Check that the check engine warning light is blinking.

If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
