Engine Control System (1UR-FSE) - Circuit Tests And Repair Information: ECM: Installation

INSTALL ECM
1. Install the ECM with the 2 nuts.
  Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf)

CONNECT WIRE HARNESS
1. Connect the 6 ECM connectors.

2. Connect the No. 4 connector holder.
INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER
1. Install the engine room ECU cover with the 3 bolts.
  Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf)
INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See INSTALLATION )

CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
PERFORM RESET MEMORY
NOTE: Perform the RESET MEMORY (AT initialization) when replacing the automatic transmission assembly, engine assembly or ECM (See INITIALIZATION ).

HINT:

Initialization cannot be completed by only removing the battery.
