Floor Shift Assembly: Installation
- INSTALL TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY
- Install the floor shift assembly with the 4 bolts.NOTE: Do not allow the wire harness to get caught between the parts.
Torque: 8.3 N*m (85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf)
- Connect the 6 clamps to the floor shift assembly.
- Connect the 2 connectors to the floor shift assembly.
- Install the floor shift assembly with the 4 bolts.
- INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Turn the control shaft lever of the neutral start switch counterclockwise until it stops, and turn it clockwise 2 notches to set it to the N position.
- Move the shift lever to the N position and tighten the nut while lightly pushing the lever toward the R position.
Torque: 13 N*m (130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
NOTE: Do not push the shift lever too hard.
- INSTALL FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- CONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2) (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER LH (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER RH
- Install the front floor cover center RH with the 3 grommets.
Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)
- Install the front floor cover center RH with the 3 grommets.
- INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR PANEL BRACE (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT FLOOR BRACE CENTER (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL CONSOLE BOX PLATE (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB
- Install the shift lever knob and turn it in the direction indicated by the arrow.
- ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION (See ADJUSTMENT )
- INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
