Oil Pump: Reassembly
- INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal.
SST 09350-30020 (09351-32140)
Standard depth:
-0.2 to 0.2 mm (-0.008 to 0.008 in.)
HINT:
The oil seal end should be flush with the outer edge of the pump body.
- Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal.
- FIX FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Place the oil pump body on the torque converter clutch.
- INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR
- Coat the driven gear with ATF.
- Install the driven gear to the oil pump body.
- INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR
- Coat the drive gear with ATF.
- Install the drive gear to the oil pump body.
- INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING
- Coat a new O-ring with ATF.
- Install the O-ring to the oil pump body.
- INSTALL STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY
- Align the 2 bolt holes on the stator shaft and install it as shown in the illustration.
- Install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf)
- INSTALL STATOR SHAFT CLUTCH DRUM THRUST WASHER
- Align the 2 claws and install the thrust washer.
- INSTALL STATOR SHAFT PISTON
- Coat 2 new O-rings with ATF and install them to the stator shaft piston.
- Install the stator shaft piston and stator shaft spring sub-assembly.
- Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, install the 5 bolts.
Torque: 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf)
- INSPECT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR ROTATION (See INSPECTION )
- INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING
- Coat 4 new oil seal rings with ATF.
- Squeeze the ends of the 4 oil seal rings so that the gap becomes 8 mm (0.32 in.) or less, and then install them to the stator shaft groove.NOTE: Do not expand the ring ends excessively.
HINT:
After installing the oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.
- INSTALL OIL PUMP O-RING
- Install a new O-ring to the oil pump.
