System Outline

* This system, controlled by the body ECU, is designed to automatically activate the turn signal lights during the daytime to keep the car clearly visible to other vehicles. The system makes use of the turn signal lights as daytime running lights.

For this reason, when the turn signal lights are operated, the daytime running light function is momentarily interrupted, but the operation will resume as soon as the signal light operation is over.

* This system will be enabled when the conditions given below are met.

1. Ignition switch ON
2. Turn signal light switch OFF
3. Hazard light switch OFF
4. Light control switch OFF
5. Parking brake switch OFF (Parking brake out of operating condition)**

   **: This system will not activate when the parking brake switch is ON. However, once the OFF signal is received from the parking brake switch by the body ECU, the system will be active thereafter, regardless of whether the parking brake switch is ON or OFF.
