Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - MULTI-DISPLAY) 
    1. Disconnect the multi-display connector and radio receiver connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J62-2 (GND) - J52-4 (SGD1) Always Below 1 Ω
      J62-1 (NTSC) - J52-1 (NTSC) Always Below 1 Ω
      J62-3 (SLD) - J52-5 (SGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      J62-1 (NTSC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J62-2 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER (OUTPUT SIGNAL) 
    1. Reconnect the radio receiver connector

    2. Measure the waveform according to the table below

      OK 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J52-1 (NTSC) - Body ground DVD display is ON A waveform synchronized with display signals is output

      HINT

      The waveform pattern may differ from that shown in the illustration due to differences in oscilloscope settings A normal radio receiver operating condition can be determined if any waveform is output

      Oscilloscope wave

      Terminal J52-1 (NTSC) - Body ground

      Setting 200 mV/DIV 10 μs/DIV.

      Condition DVD display is on

    NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER  (See REMOVAL )

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
