Section 15 (Charging System): Generator: Installation

  1. INSTALL GENERATOR 
    1. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, set the generator with the 2 stud bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

    2. Install the generator with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf)

    3. Install the wire harness bracket with the nut

      Torque: 6.0 N*m (61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf)

    4. Connect the harness to the +B terminal with nut A.

      Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

    5. Install the oil cooler tube with bolt B.

      Torque: 14 N*m (140 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf) 

    6. Connect wire harness clamp C.
    7. Connect generator connector D.
  2. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR 
    1. Install the front stabilizer bar (See INSTALLATION ).

  3. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Connect the wire harness with the bolt and clamp

      Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

  4. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 
  10. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH 
  11. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  12. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  13. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See INSTALLATION )
  14. INSTALL FRONT WHEELS 
  15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
