Section 15 (Charging System): Generator: Removal

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT WHEELS
REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
SEPARATE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT (See REMOVAL )
DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS
1. Remove the bolt, and disconnect the clamp and ground cable.

REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR
1. Remove the front stabilizer bar (See REMOVAL ).
REMOVE GENERATOR
1. Remove nut A, and disconnect the harness from the +B terminal
2. Remove bolt B, and disconnect the oil cooler tube.
3. Remove clamp C
4. Disconnect generator connector D.
5. Remove the nut and wire harness bracket

6. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts

7. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and generator
