Steering Angle Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR 
    1. Align the locating pins, engage the 6 claws and install the steering angle sensor to the spiral cable.
  2. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER  (See INSTALLATION )

  4. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL STEERING PAD  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT 
    1. Inspect the steering wheel center point.
  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. (See INITIALIZATION )
  11. INSPECT STEERING PAD  (See INSTALLATION )
  12. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
