Network Gateway Ecu: Removal

NOTE: When disassembling the network gateway ECU, eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent the components from being damaged.
  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment (See PRECAUTION ).
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    HINT.

    Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side (see REMOVAL )

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER 

    HINT:

    Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side (See REMOVAL )

  4. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE NETWORK GATEWAY ECU 
    1. Disconnect the connector
    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the cover

    3. Remove the network gateway ECU.
