Navigation Ecu: Removal

  1. EJECT MAP DISC 
    1. Turn the engine switch on (ACC).
    2. Apply protective tape to the places shown in the illustration.

    3. Insert 2 precision screwdrivers (1.5 or less) into the holes on both sides of the clock assembly at the angle shown in the illustration.
      NOTE: Do not pry on the clock assembly with the screwdrivers as they may damage the clock assembly.

      HINT:

      If precision screwdrivers are not available, use in-vehicle tools (part No. 09135-53010).

    4. Insert a protective taped screwdriver from the underside of the hazard switch and pull and remove the clock assembly.
      NOTE: Do not pry on the hazard switch with the screwdriver as it may damage the switch.
    5. Remove the 2 precision screwdrivers.
    6. Push the "MENU" button.
    7. Touch "Map DVD" on the navigation screen.
    8. Touch "EJECT DVD" on the navigation screen to eject the map disc.
    9. Temporarily reinstall the clock assembly to make the removal of the multi-display assembly easier.

      NOTE: Do not install the clock assembly completely because it will be removed later.
    10. Turn the engine switch off.
  2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE CENTER LOWER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE MULTI-DISPLAY WITH RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET  (See REMOVAL )
  12. REMOVE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the multi-display assembly in the direction shown by the arrow to remove the multi-display assembly.

  13. REMOVE NAVIGATION ECU 
    1. Disconnect the connectors.

    2. Remove the 4 screws and navigation ECU
