Inspection Procedure

NOTE: If the ID code box (immobilizer code ECU) is replaced, register the ECU code and ECU communication ID (See REGISTRATION  ).
  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ID CODE BOX - BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the ID code box (immobilizer code ECU) connector
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below

      Standard Voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J69-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR, OR REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ID CODE BOX - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J69-8 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
