Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER 
    1. Disconnect the radio receiver connectors

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J66-5 (ATX+) - J66-15 (ATX-) Always 60 to 80 Ω
      J65-9 (TXM+) - J65-10 (TXM-) Always 60 to 80 Ω
      J63-9 (TX+) - J63-10 (TX-) Always 60 to 80 Ω

    NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER  (See REMOVAL  )

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    HINT

    For details of the connectors, refer to TERMINALS OF ECU (See )

    1. Referring to the following AVC-LAN Wiring Diagram, check all AVC-LAN circuits
      1. Disconnect all connectors in all AVC-LAN circuits.
      2. Check for an open or short in all AVC-LAN circuits.

        OK: There are no open or short circuits.

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT MALFUNCTIONING PARTS 
    1. Disconnect each slave unit one by one to check if the master unit returns to normal operation If the master unit does not return to normal operation, reconnect the disconnected slave unit and then check the other slave units

      OK: Master unit returns to normal operation. 

      HINT.

      • Check all slave units.
      • If the master unit returns to normal operation after disconnecting a slave unit, there is a short in the slave unit Therefore, replace the slave unit

    NG: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )

    OK: REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS
