Front Seat Assembly: Reassembly

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE 
    1. w/o Climate Seat Control System:
      1. Engage the 7 clamps and install the front seat wire to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster
    2. w/ Climate Seat Control System:
      1. Engage the 8 clamps and install the front seat wire to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.
    3. Connect the 3 connectors.

  2. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 clamps and install the seat heater control sub-assembly
    2. Connect the 2 connectors

  3. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Engage the 2 hooks and temporarily install the seat climate control blower.
    2. Install the seat climate control blower as shown in the illustration.

  5. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Engage the 2 claws.
    2. Engage the 2 clamps (B) in the direction indicated by the arrow (1).
    3. Engage the 2 clamps (A) in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) and install the seat cushion climate control duct

  6. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket, install the seatback climate control blower and the seatback climate control cover to the seat frame with the 6 "TORX" bolts.

    2. for Driver Side:
      1. Engage the 3 clamps and install the wire harness.
      2. Connect the connector.

    3. for Front Passenger Side:
      1. Engage the clamp and install the wire harness.
      2. Connect the connector.

  7. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the lumbar support adjuster with the 2 screws.
    2. Connect the connector.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH 
    1. Engage the guide.
    2. Install the front seat lower seat cushion shield RH with the screw.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Engage the guide
    2. Install the front seat lower seat cushion shield LH with the screw

  10. INSTALL UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 
    1. Engage the guide
    2. Install the upper reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw

  11. INSTALL UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Engage the guide
    2. Install the upper reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw

  12. INSTALL LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 
    1. Install the lower reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the 2 screws
    2. Engage the clamp and install the side airbag wire harness

  13. INSTALL LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Install the lower reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the 2 screws
    2. Engage the clamp and install the side airbag wire harness

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/o Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater assembly to the end of the seat cover with the 8 tack pins.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater assembly to the end of the seat cover with the 7 tack pins

  16. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER (w/o Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 14 new hog rings.
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the cover.
      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  17. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 8 new hog rings.
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the cover.
      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  18. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Temporarily install the front seatback cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster
    2. Install the front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

      CAUTION:
      • For vehicles with side airbags, the seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.
      • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
      • Install the bracket securely.

    3. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seat frame with 3 new hog rings.
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the cover.
      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
    4. Engage the 2 hooks

    5. Using hog ring pliers, install the front seatback cover with pad to the seat frame with 10 new hog rings
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the cover.
      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the hooks and install the front seatback board cover sub-assembly
    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the new hog ring to the seatback cover
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the cover.
      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT 
    1. Engage the 4 craws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports

  21. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 hooks and temporarily install the front seatback board sub-assembly.
    2. Engage the 2 claws.
    3. Install the front seatback board sub-assembly with the 2 screws

  22. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 16 new hog rings.
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the cover.
      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  23. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)  (See INSTALLATION )
  24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (for Driver Side) 
    1. Engage the hooks.
    2. Install the front seat cushion cover with pad with the 2 clips.

    3. w/o Seat Climate Control System-
      1. Engage the 3 clamps
      2. Connect the 2 connectors.

    4. w/ Seat Climate Control System-
      1. Engage the 7 clamps.
      2. Connect the 2 connectors.

  25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Engage the hooks.
    2. Install the front seat cushion cover with pad with the 2 clips.

    3. Engage the 4 clamps.
    4. Connect the 2 connectors.

    5. w/o Climate seat control system:
      1. Engage the 2 clamps and connect the occupant detection sensor connector.

    6. w/ Climate seat control system:
      1. Engage the 2 clamps and connect the occupant detection sensor connector

  26. INSTALL POWER SEAT SWITCH 
    1. Connect the 2 connectors.
    2. Install the power seat switch with the 3 screws

  27. INSTALL NO. 2 SEAT TRACK LOWER SPACER 
    1. Install the No. 2 seat track lower spacer to the front cushion shield with the 2 screws.

  28. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD 
    1. Insert the guide into the clip as shown in the illustration.

    2. Engage the claw.
    3. Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

  29. INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT TRACK LOWER SPACER 
    1. Install the No. 1 seat track lower spacer to the front cushion shield with the 2 screws.

  30. INSTALL LUMBAR SWITCH 
    1. Install the lumbar switch to the front cushion shield with the 2 screws.

  31. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD 
    1. Engage the claw.
    2. Install the No. 1 front seat cushion inner shield to the front seat cushion shield with the 2 screws

  32. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector to the lumbar switch
    2. Engage the claw.
    3. Install the front seat cushion shield assembly with the 6 screws.

    4. Engage the 2 hooks and install the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board to the seat frame

  33. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  34. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the reclining power seat switch knob.
