Brake Actuator: Removal
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTE: If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, wash or remove it completely.
- SEPARATE NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
- SEPARATE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
- Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.NOTE: Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.
- Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 6 brake lines from the brake actuator with bracket
- Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect

- *1. To front wheel cylinder RH
- *2. To front wheel cylinder LH
- *3. To rear wheel cylinder RH
- *4. To rear wheel cylinder LH
- *5. From front of master cylinder
- *6. From rear of master cylinder
- Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the No. 3 front brake tube from the flexible hose
- Remove the 2 bolts and nut from the brake actuator with bracketNOTE: Do not damage the brake tubes.
- Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.
- REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
- Remove the grommet and No 3 front brake tube
- Remove the brake actuator with bracket.NOTE: Do not damage the brake tube.
- REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR
- Remove the 2 nuts and brake actuator from the brake actuator bracket assembly.
- Remove the brake actuator bolt cushion from the brake actuator bracket assembly
- REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR BOLT CUSHION
- Remove the 2 brake actuator bolt holders and 2 brake actuator bolt cushions from the brake actuator.
