- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
- DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
- Discharge fuel system pressure (See FUEL SYSTEM )
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See COOLANT )
- SEPARATE ENGINE WIRE (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- REMOVE NO. 3 FUEL HOSE (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY (for Port Injection)
- Disconnect the 4 connectors.
- Remove the 2 bolts and wire harness.
- Disconnect the 4 connectors.
- Remove the 2 bolts and wire harness
- Using SST, loosen the 2 fuel pressure pulsation dampers.
SST 09612-24014 (09617-24011)
- Remove the fuel tube sub-assembly with the 4 gaskets.
