How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRICAL POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.

    Result: 

    RESULT TABLE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC B22B3 is not output A
    DTC B22B3 is output B

    B: GO TO ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE TABLE )

    A: Go to next step 

  4. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Techstream, inspect the CAN communication function to ensure there are no malfunctions in the communication system (see CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM ).

    Result: 

    RESULT TABLE

    Result Proceed to
    No DTCs output A
    DTCs output B

    B:  Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    A: Go to next step 

  5. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Techstream, inspect the LIN communication function to ensure there are no malfunctions in the communication system.

    Result:

    Result Proceed to
    No DTCs output A
    DTCs output B

    B: SEE  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE TABLE  

    A: Go to next step 

  6. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    Result:

    Result Proceed to
    Fault is not listed in problem symptoms table A
    Fault is listed in problem symptoms table B

    B: Go to step   8 

    A: Go to next step 

  7. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
    1. See DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST 
    2. See TERMINALS OF ECU 
  8. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE
