Data List / Active Test

  1. DATA LIST 

    HINT:

    Using the Techstream to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensor, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.

    NOTE: In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Data List.
    5. According to the display on the Techstream, read the "Data List".

      Smart Access (Certification ECU)

      NO: Key ID code is not matched to vehicle
      Key Low Battery Key low battery / YES or NO YES: Key battery voltage is low
      NO: Key battery voltage is normal
      ID Code Difference (Resp) Communication condition between vehicle and electrical key transmitter (ID code) / YES or NO YES: Key ID code is matched to vehicle
      NO: Key ID code is not matched to vehicle
      C Code Difference Communication condition between vehicle and electrical key transmitter (challenge code) / YES or NO YES: Key ID code is matched to vehicle
      NO: Key ID code is not matched to vehicle
      Door Unlock Mode Door unlock mode / ALL, EACH, D_DOOR Mode status is displayed
      Auto Entry Cancel SW Entry door lock function cancel / ON or OFF Mode status is displayed
      Trunk Open Mode Luggage compartment door open mode with vehicle locked / ON or OFF Customization status is displayed
      Ignition Available Area Ignition available area / FRONT or ALL Customization status is displayed

      OFF: Luggage compartment door is closed

  2. ACTIVE TEST 

    HINT:

    Using the Techstream to perform the Active Tests allows relays, VSVs and actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access (Certification ECU) / Active Test.
    5. According to the display on the Techstream, perform the "Active Test".
