Purge Valve: Installation

  1. INSTALL PURGE VSV 
    1. Install the purge VSV with the bolt.

      Torque: 21 N*m (215 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

    2. Connect the 2 purge line hoses to the purge VSV.
    3. Connect the purge VSV connector.
  2. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP LH 
    1. Install the air cleaner cap LH.
  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP RH 
    1. Install the air cleaner cap RH.
  5. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  12. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
