How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

Use these procedures to troubleshoot the air suspension system.

*: Use the Techstream.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION 
  3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  4. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally, (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).

      Result 

      RESULT TABLE

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B22B3 is not output A
      DTC B22B3 is output B
    2. Using the Techstream, check the electric power control system's load control history (see OPERATION CHECK )

    B:  Go to ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM

    A: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK ECUS CONNECTED TO CAN BUS* 
    1. Check ECUs connected to CAN bus (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

    Result 

    RESULT TABLE

    Result Proceed to
    Malfunction appears A
    No malfunction appears B

    B:  Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    A: Go to next step 

  6. CHECK DTC (CAN AND LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM) 
    1. Check for DTCs all.

    Result 

    RESULT TABLE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC is not output A
    CAN system DTC is output B
    LIN system DTC is output C
    Air suspension DTC is output D

    B:  Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    C:  Go to LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    D: Go to DTC TABLE 

    A: Go to next step 

  7. PROBLEM SYMPTOM TABLE 

    Result 

    RESULT TABLE

    Result Proceed to
    Fault is not listed in problem symptoms table A
    Fault is listed in problem symptoms table B

    B:  Go to step  10

    A: Go to next step 

  8. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
    1. See DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST 
    2. See TERMINALS OF ECU 
  9. REPAIR OR REPLACE 
  10. CONFIRMATION TEST
