Height Control Compressor: Removal

CAUTION: Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing (see PRECAUTION  ).
  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
    NOTE:
    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
    • After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOLDING LH  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOLDING RH  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  11. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH  (See REMOVAL )
  12. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH  (See REMOVAL )
  13. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  14. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  16. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH 
  17. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.
    2. Partially remove the fender liner

      HINT:

      It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner Partially remove it so that the compressor can be removed

    3. Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 2 clamps
    4. Disconnect the height control filter from the front bumper reinforcement.
    5. Disconnect the height control tube (Type 2) (see PRECAUTION  ).

    6. Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and height control compressor with bracket
    7. Detach the 3 clamps
    8. Detach the connector's claw and remove the connector from the bracket

    9. Remove the 3 bolts, 3 bushes and bracket from the compressor.
