How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

Use these procedures to troubleshoot the audio and visual system.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. BASIC INSPECTION 
    1. Turn the power switch ON (ACC)
    2. Check whether or not the display appears on the multi-display

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Display appears A
      Display does not appear B

    B:  Go to step  6

    A: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
    2. Delete DTC.
    3. Recheck for DTCs Based on the DTC output in the first step, try to force output of the audio system DTC by simulating the operation indicated by the DTC

      HINT:

      • If the system cannot enter the diagnosis mode, inspect each AVC-LAN communication signal and repair or replace problem parts.
      • Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores past DTCs.
      • Refer to the detailed description on the diagnostic screen, as necessary (see DIAGNOSIS DISPLAY DETAILED DESCRIPTION  ).
      • Check and clear past diagnostic trouble codes. Check the diagnostic trouble code and inspect the area the code indicates.

  5. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

  6. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING 
    1. Terminals of ECU (see TERMINALS OF ECU  )
    2. Inspect the front No. 1 speaker (see INSPECTION  ).
    3. Inspect the front No. 2 speaker (see INSPECTION  ).
    4. Inspect the front No. 3 speaker (see INSPECTION  )
    5. Inspect the stereo component speaker (see INSPECTION  ).
    6. Inspect the rear No. 1 speaker (see INSPECTION  )
    7. Inspect the rear No. 2 speaker (see INSPECTION  )
    8. Inspect the rear No. 3 speaker (see INSPECTION  ).
    9. Inspect the rear header speaker (see INSPECTION  ).
  7. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE
