Inspection Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW) 
    1. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester or Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the power window regulator motor UP/ DOWN.
    CAUTION: Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the ACTIVE TEST, the jam protection function does not operate.
    1. Intelligent tester

      D DOOR MOTOR: 

      ACTIVE TEST - D DOOR MOTOR

      P/W UP/DOWN Driver side power window UP/OFF (OFF)
      P/W UP/DOWN Driver side power window DOWN/OFF (OFF)

      P DOOR MOTOR: 

      ACTIVE TEST - P DOOR MOTOR

      P/W UP/DOWN Front passenger side power window UP/OFF (OFF)
      P/W UP/DOWN Front passenger side power window DOWN/OFF (OFF)

      RL DOOR MOTOR: 

      ACTIVE TEST - RL DOOR MOTOR

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range
      P/W UP/DOWN Rear LH side power window UP/OFF (OFF)
      P/W UP/DOWN Rear LH side power window DOWN/OFF (OFF)

      RR DOOR MOTOR: 

      ACTIVE TEST - RR DOOR MOTOR

    2. Techstream

    D-Door Motor: 

    ACTIVE TEST - D DOOR MOTOR

    Power Window Driver side power window UP/OFF (OFF)
    Power Window Driver side power window DOWN/OFF (OFF)

    P-Door Motor: 

    ACTIVE TEST - P DOOR MOTOR

    Tester Display Test Part Control Range
    Power Window Front passenger side power window UP/OFF (OFF)
    Power Window Front passenger side power window DOWN/OFF (OFF)

    RL-Door Motor: 

    ACTIVE TEST - RL DOOR MOTOR

    Tester Display Test Part Control Range
    Power Window Rear LH side power window UP/OFF (OFF)
    Power Window Rear LH side power window DOWN/OFF (OFF)

    RR-Door Motor: 

    ACTIVE TEST - RR DOOR MOTOR

    Tester Display Test Part Control Range
    Power Window Rear RH side power window UP/OFF (OFF)
    Power Window Rear RH side power window DOWN/OFF (OFF)

    OK: Power window operates normally. 

    Result:

    B: REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH  (see DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST )

    C: REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH  (see REMOVAL )

    D: REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH  (see REMOVAL )

    E: REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH  (see REMOVAL )

    A: Go to Next Step 

  2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Initialize the power window regulator motor (see INITIALIZATION ).
    2. Check that the power window operates normally by opening and closing the window

    OK: Power window operates normally. 

    Result:

    B: REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH  (see REMOVAL )

    C: REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH  (see REMOVAL )

    D: REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH  (see REMOVAL )

    E: REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH  (see REMOVAL )

    A: Go to Next Step 

  3. CHECK WHETHER PARTS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY 
    1. Check that the power window components are installed correctly.

    OK: Power window components are installed correctly. 

    HINT:

    When the power window components are installed correctly, the problem has been caused by battery disconnection while the power switch is ON (IG) or the motor being overheated.

    NG: INSTALL PARTS CORRECTLY 

    OK: END
