Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs

    Result: 

    RESULT REFERENCE

    Result Proceed to
    DTC is not output A
    B2311 is output B
    B2312 is output C
    B2313 is output D
    LIN communication system DTC output reoccur E

    B: GO TO DTC B2311  (see DTC B2311 POWER WINDOW MOTOR MALFUNCTION )

    C: GO TO DTC B2312  (see DTC B2312 POWER WINDOW SWITCH MALFUNCTION )

    D: GO TO DTC B2313  (see DTC B2313 GLASS POSITION INITIALIZATION INCOMPLETE )

    E: GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    A: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the manual UP/DOWN function using the power window regulator switch can operate the driver door power window

    OK: Manual UP/DOWN function operates normally. 

    NG: OTHER PROBLEM  (see REAR POWER WINDOW RH DOES NOT OPERATE WITH REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH RH )

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  3. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (REAR MOTOR RH) 
    1. Use the Data List to check if the power window regulator motor is functioning properly
      1. Intelligent tester

        RR DOOR MOTOR: 

        DATA LIST - RR DOOR MOTOR

        Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition
        RR P/W AUTO SW Rear power window RH auto UP/ DOWN switch signal / ON or OFF ON Rear power window RH auto UP/ DOWN switch operated
        OFF Rear power window RH switch not operated
      2. Techstream

      RR-Door Motor: 

      DATA LIST - RR DOOR MOTOR

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition
      RR Door P/W Auto SW Rear power window RH auto UP/ DOWN switch signal / ON or OFF ON Rear power window RH auto UP/ DOWN switch operated
      OFF Rear power window RH switch not operated

    OK: Tester display changes normally when rear power window switch RH is operated. 

    NG:  Go to step  4

    OK: REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH  (see REMOVAL )

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SWITCH RH - REAR MOTOR RH) 
    1. Disconnect the O7 switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the O8 motor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below

    Standard resistance 

    STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    O7-4 (AUTO) - O8-4 (AUTO) Always Below 1 Ω
    O7-4 (AUTO) or O8-4 (AUTO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  5. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the switch (see REMOVAL ).
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance 

    STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
    O7-4 (AUTO) - O7-5 (GND) AUTO UP/DOWN operation Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY  (see REMOVAL )

    OK: REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH  (see REMOVAL )
