Yaw Rate And Acceleration Sensor: Removal
NOTE:
While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/ close the doors while the battery is connected.
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.NOTE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH (See REMOVAL ).
- REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL ).
- REMOVE NO. 3 BOX PANEL (See REMOVAL ).
- REMOVE REAR CONSOLE PANEL UPPER (See REMOVAL ).
- REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER (See DISASSEMBLY ).
- REMOVE REAR CONSOLE END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See DISASSEMBLY ).
- REMOVE CONSOLE COVER LOWER (See DISASSEMBLY ).
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (See DISASSEMBLY ).
- REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT
- Detach the connector clamp.
- Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 duct.
- REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR
- Remove the 2 bolts and sensor.
- Disconnect the sensor connector.
