Light Control Rheostat: Inspection
- INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTTester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 3 (UP) - 5 (E) UP ON (Pushed) Below 200 Ω UP OFF (Not pushed) 1 MΩ or higher 7 (DOWN) - 5 (E) DOWN ON (Pushed) Below 200 Ω DOWN OFF (Not pushed) 1 MΩ or higher 2 (B) - 5 (E) CLEANER ON (Pushed) Below 200 Ω CLEANER OFF (Not pushed) 1 MΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the rheostat.
- Inspect the switch illumination.
- Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the light, and check the operation of the rheostat.
