Air Fuel Ratio Sensor: Installation

HINT:

When viewed from the rear of the engine assembly, Bank 1 is on the left side and Bank 2 is on the right side.

1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1) 
   1. Using SST, install the sensor to the exhaust manifold LH.

      SST 09224-00010 

      Torque: without SST 

      44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

      with SST 

      40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.).
      • Make sure SST and the wrench are connected in a straight line

   2. Connect the sensor connector.

      HINT:

      Hook the wire harness to the bracket.

2. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1) 
   1. Using SST, install the sensor to the exhaust manifold RH.

      SST 09224-00010 

      Torque: without SST 

      44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

      with SST 

      40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf)

   2. Connect the sensor connector.
3. INSTALL ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION 
   1. Install the engine and transmission (see INSTALLATION ).
