Camshaft Timing Control Motor: Removal

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE  (See REMOVAL  )
  5. REMOVE CAM TIMING CONTROL WITH EDU MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the 2 camshaft timing control motor connectors

    3. Remove the bolt and engine wire bracket.
    4. Remove the 3 bolts and camshaft timing control motor.
      NOTE: Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the camshaft timing control motor (connecting surface with timing chain cover).

    5. Remove the O-ring from the timing chain cover
  6. REMOVE CAM TIMING CONTROL WITH EDU MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the 2 camshaft timing control motor connectors and wire harness clamp.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and camshaft timing control motor.
      NOTE: Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the camshaft timing control motor (connecting surface with timing chain cover).

    3. Remove the 0-ring from the timing chain cover.
